WILLIAM H. CHISLER, SR.
Died on December 22, 2011. Services will be on Wednesday, Dec.28, at Broadway United Methodist Church at 2:00, with visitation and luncheon beginning at 12:00. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
Born in Indianapolis on May 4, 1923 to the late Roy and Florence Chisler, he graduated from Broad Ripple High School in l951 and was attending Butler University when called into military service. He retired from the Air Force Reserves with the rank of Lt. Colonel.
After working in sales for OK Trucking Company he retired as Office Manager in l991.
He was a long-time member of Broadway United Methodist Church,
a member of Toastmasters International, Mid-North Shepherd's Center and it's Investment Club, and Chapter 14 of Good Sam Camping Club.
Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Jeannette; Brother, George; One nephew,
three neices and their families; Son, William, Jr. "Biff" and daughter-in-law Lorraine; Daughter, Barbara and son-in-law, Steve; Son, Steve and daughter-in-law Pam; Grandchildren: Laura Chisler; Valerie, Andrea and Stephen Kovalsky, Step-grandchildren Sarah and Zack Jones. He was preceded in death by Brother, Jim.
Memorials in his name may be made to Broadway United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or American Cancer Society.
