Uncle Vernon was a special man and has left us all with many wonderful memories. Christmas Eve always included him creating the family movies that we still enjoy today.

I too remember Uncle Vernon fondly. Especially at Christmas, or other times when just visiting Grandma... or if we went to see them at their home. I remember an early summer visit when I was quite small, and Vernon has just turned the garden in back. I was told not to go into the yard, but I did it anyway, and was up to my knees in mud! Although I was soundly scolded by my mother, Vernon laughed as he kindly got me cleaned up. My heart goes out to Pat and the family today.

I want to share my condolences to the entire Earle family. I have fond memories of Uncle Vernon at holidays - especially when he was the official family videographer at Christmas. I enjoyed visiting the Earle household as a child and felt that my cousins were very lucky to have such a warm and loving father.

Pat, I believe God brings people into our life for a reason and I am so glad that he brought the two of you into mine. Vernon was such a nice man and will be missed by many. I cannot thank the two of you enough for what you did for daddy and our family. He is at peace and healty and whole again.

The brief time that I knew Vernon, I could tell he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. I know he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Dear Aunt Pat and Family,

Though I only met Uncle Vernon twice, I will never forget his awesome smile. He was so kind to us at the two Foxworthy family reunions we attended in Indianapolis.

As my father also suffered with Parkinson's and died one year ago, I have to say that Uncle Vernon endured his cross valiantly. It is a tough disease, but now both men are at peace and can now once again enjoy life to its fullest.

May God bless you all through this difficult time.

Thinking back you probably don't remember me. Ralph and William should since we were close in age. I always envied anyone with a large family since I was an only child and yours was the largest on the block, I think. Your Mom and Dad were very kind and generous and you are blessed to have had them so long. The Schwarber's lived next door to you and we used to play on the empty ground between the two houses.

It's always a great pain in your heart to lose loved ones. My Father died when I was 6 and Mom in 1978 when I was 24. My deepest sympathy and condolences go out to your entire family. I'm sure he will be missed by all.

Finally he would allow us to enter and we'd fly into the room trying to find our "pile" of Santa gifts, all the while blinded by the spotlights mounted on Dad's 8 mm home movie camera!

I love him and miss him. He was the best man I ever knew.

Even his tools were hung on the basement wall and so that they should be returned to the correct spot, there was an outline of what tool went where. He was a man who really lived his faith.......not just "talked" it but "lived" it 24 hours a day.

We will miss him, but he is happy where he is and can do anything that he wants instead of being bed-ridden and helpless.
