Dr. R. Louis Curry

I remember meeting Dr. Curry in 1981 when I started on the Community Hospital East medical staff. We shared many patients together over several years and he was always present, always gentle and he saw to it that his patients got good care. He was genuine and humble and I have fond memories of sharing times with him. He loved what he did.

In November 1965, I came into this world with the help of Dr. Curry as did my brother three years later...I have many fond memories of visiting his office as a child...he was a wonderfully kind man who made you feel at ease in sometimes not so great situations. He was a great doctor who really seemed to "care" for his patients. May God Bless the family always!!

Dr. Curry delivered my brother in 1964 and i was 18 months old. He took care of us all through our younger years and then after my marriage he became the doctor of my husband and later to both my children. I have to say that when he quit practicing it was a very sad day for our family. He was like one of the family. And from that day forward I have yet to find a doctor that cares

And from that day forward I have yet to find a doctor that cares and makes you feel like you are important as he did. He was a very wonderful person and he will be sadly missed.

Dr. Curry was our family doctor for many years and delivered our two children, Bruce and Debbie. But, he was more than our doctor, he was our friend. Many years ago we also photographed he and his family for their 50th wedding anniversary. We send our condolences to the Curry family. He will be greatly missed.

I was first a patient of his as a teenager and later in life he delivered my two wonderful daughters that are now 38 and 40 years old. As a new mommy I certainly made a lot of visits to his office -- he always had the answer and had such a caring manner. I also loved his sense of humor. Honestly he was my very favorite doctor ever. Without Dr.

Without Dr. Curry's care and advice I probably wouldn't have been able to conceive -- he even took the time to personally call me at work to say I was finally pregnant. Dr. Curry was a blessing in my life - such a good man/doctor!

He walked in to Mike`s room one day and said Mr. Roe and Mike said yes. He said my wife`s maiden name was Roe but we could never put the 2 families together although I am sure there is a link . We became friends. We ar the ones who bought the ford van

I am also disabled, I woulod always ask him in ourn Cnhristmas cards ton come ands see us b ut he never did . He was a fine man I will always remember him coming to the nursing home for Breakfast, lunch and dinner to help your Mom eat. We were truly blessed as a family to have him care for us. My prayers for many joyful memories!

Dr .Curry was our family physician for many years . He delivered my two brothers and I into this world as babies . I have a picture of him in an old photo album examining me as a baby. My last memory of him was when he stitched up my arm when I cut it on a broken window..

Some people want to be a doctor for all of the wrong reasons. Dr. Curry became a doctor for all of the right reasons. I've not been treated by a more dedicated, wise and intuitive doctor since leaving Indy. He was a wonderful man, doctor and person, and, surely will be missed.
I remember once when I was being seen and my husband had our 18 month old daughter in the waiting room. She was being a little vocal and could be heard in the patient room as he was examining me. I looked up and said - rather apologetically - "she's a little loud". He just lauged and said - "No, healthy." That put it all in perspective for me as a first time mother.
