Dear Mary's family - Our sincere condolences to you. I remember your Mother as very sweet lady. She was quiet and private and unfortunately we did not get to know her very well. We helped her the best we could when the tornado came through. Over the years I have thought of her often and was sorry we were not better neighbors. Blessings to all.

When I read about the passing of your Mom, so many memories filed my mind. The taste of Kool-Aid in metal glasses, your Mom's smile, the way she pursed her lips when talking, almost as if just yesterday. So many years have passed and I can still see her. I can hear the piano, the bell ringing, when it wasn't suppose to! Playing baseball - football -

When I read about the passing of your Mom, so many memories filed my mind. The taste of Kool-Aid in metal glasses, your Mom's smile, the way she pursed her lips when talking, almost as if just yesterday. So many years have passed and I can still see her. I can hear the piano, the bell ringing, when it wasn't suppose to! Playing baseball - football - next to the "grazing lot" where you would die if an animal got you before you made it back on the other side of the fence! Riding bikes in the woods next to the house. And of course, the day (April 8..some year!) Bill, Mike, my brother John and myself went fishing at the newly dug Rte 2 "fishing hole" and your Dad had to bring the horse and yoke to pull us out of the quicksand. All of you, including your mother, helped to shape my life.

So I am grateful to have known your mother and it was obvious that she loved you all very much. With deepest sympathies, may her memories continue on in your hearts.

I remember spending the night at the stone house on State Rd. that seemd so big. Then when you moved to 10th street it was so cool that Mike lived across the street from the high school. No wonder I

No wonder I spent much time over at your house Mike...it was so convenient since I lived so far out of town!
Being a parent now I have seen the importance of making our home welcome to our children's friends just as your Mom did for me all those years.

The one memory that stands out is when you helped me ride Melody and the horse took off. I don't know who ran faster...the pony or your mom. She was there in a flash to the rescue! I enjoyed every minute of our time together

My mom passed away in 2008 and her name was Mary, too. It just hit home to me today at how fast time passes and how many memories we treasure in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your familly. Love, Marie
