Mary C. Clemens, 89, Indianapolis, passed away November 15, 2011. Born on November 30, 1921, in Michigan City, Indiana, Mary resided in Port Clinton, Ohio for most of her life. She married Gail "Bud" Clemens on January 31, 1948, and he preceded her in passing on February 8, 1989. Mary was a graduate of Port Clinton High School and attended the Sandusky Business College. She was employed by New Departure in Sandusky, Ohio and then served for many years as a loving homemaker for her family. Mary was proud of her more than fifteen years as a Red Cross volunteer at Magruder Hospital. She enjoyed reading and sitting down with a hot cup of tea to watch her programs on PBS. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Joseph (Jennifer) Clemens, Brownsburg, IN., Connie Clemens, Noblesville, IN, Nancy (Wallace) Braud, Atlanta, GA, Michael (Michelle) Clemens, Richmond, VA; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen (Conley) Greer; infant daughter, Bridget; son, William; and brother, George Greer. The family has planned a private memorial service.
