Donna D Berkey, 55, passed away in Indianapolis on November 11, 2011.
Donna was born on September 29, 1956 to William and Carolyn (Roberts) Gibson in Columbus, Indiana. She graduated in 1974 from Columbus East High School and attended IPFW in Fort Wayne, IN for Early Childhood Development.
Donna loved educating children, beginning with a career as a nursery school teacher and continuing by tutoring and mentoring throughout her life. Most recently she worked as a CSR at ACS, Inc. Donna was loved and respected by all she touched.
Donna enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, dancing, rock and roll, hosting family events, Bible study, helping others, and being a good mother, sister, and friend.
Donna was preceded in death by her father William E Gibson and both paternal grandparents Millard E and Mary M (Jesse) Gibson and maternal grandparents DeWhitt T and Mary E (Campbell) Roberts. She is survived by her mother Carolyn Gibson, daughter Kim (and husband Chris) Compton, sisters Debbie Rees, Tina (and husband James) Darst, Lori (and husband Andy) Garrison, and brother Willam E Gibson. She is also survived by nieces Melissa German and Kara Bales, and nephews Greg Darst and Josh Bales, and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
