Daniel Leon Walker, 45, Indianapolis, went home to be with the Lord on December 20, 2011. He was born July 10, 1966, in Indianapolis, the son of Herbert Richardson and JoAnne (Hensley) Walker.
He was a 1984 graduate of North Central High School. He was employed with Larue D. Carter Hospital for the last 22 years as a Psychiatric Technician.
Daniel was an active member with the White Buffalo Society, Piqua-Sept of the Ohio Shawnee Tribe where he served as 2nd Chief, and the Indiana Friends of Bluegrass. He attended Evanston Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his father, Herbert (Beverly) Walker, Winona, MS; wife of 10 years, Virginia Farmer Walker; children, Elijah Leon Walker, Raquel Rae Walker, Chad Andrew Stone; grandson, Benjamin Elijah Leon Walker; sister, Cynthia Jo (Michael) Baldwin, Quincy; three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 East Broad Ripple Avenue. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011, and also from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
