Daniel Joseph Conlin, 85, died November 5, 2011 in Indianapolis, IN. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, on September 3, 1926 to Mary K. and Daniel A. Conlin. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John and his first wife Edith Bigelow Conlin. He is survived by his wife Christine Doumas Conlin, by his son and daughter Christopher A. Conlin (Patricia) and Cynthia J. Pfister (Jerry), by his step-son and step-daughter John B. Allison III and Amy L. Allison; also by 7 grandchildren Rebecca G. McNamara (Benjamin)and Abigail Guerney Stephenson (Tyson), Daniel P. Conlin, Alyssa Pfister, Lauren Pfister, Leslie Pfister Lutz (Frederick), Alexandra (Allie) L. Allison; and also by two great-grandchildren, Samuel Albert Lutz and Emma Jean Lutz. He is also survived by his sister Jeanne M. Currie (John) of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
Daniel served as a Navy aircrewman in WWII, then graduated from La Salle College (Philadelphia, PA) and was employed by and subsequently retired from Eli Lilly & Co. after 37 years of employment. He was a department head in the Industrial Products Division at the time of his retirement. He was an active member of Faith Presbyterian Church.
Funeral arrangements include the public visitation on Tuesday, November 7, 2011 at Faith Presbyterian Church, located at 8170 Hague Rd. in Indianapolis, IN. from 11:00-12:00pm. The funeral service will be at 12:00pm at Faith Presbyterian, immediately followed by the burial ceremony at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at 9700 Allisonville Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Edith Bigelow Conlin Scholarship Fund, Faith Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
