Alma Jean Clark, 93, went to Heaven on the Wings of an Angel, to meet her Lord and Savior, on November 14, 2011. Jean died peacefully at Hooverwood, where she has resided the past two years. She was born March 17, 1918, in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late Herschel U. and Mable F. (Reeve) Kline. She was married to John T. Clark, who preceded her in passing in 1989.
Jean was a graduate of Atlanta High School. She lived in the Broad Ripple area for 52 years. She was a homemaker most of her life, working part time for L.S. Ayers, for many years.
Jean was a member of the East 91st Street Christian Church. She will be remembered for her great faith, enjoyment in playing games, her love of her family, positive nature, never ending Smile and never meeting a stranger.
She is survived by two sons, James (Debbie) Clark, Noblesville; and David (Sherryl) Clark, Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Tisha (Ed) Mullins, Jake Clark, Cheyenne (Rachel) Clark, and Holly Odle (David Mesler); and seven and ¾ great grandchildren.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011, at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Broad Ripple, 1305 East Broad Ripple Avenue. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the East 91st Street Christian Church Benevolence Fund or to the Red Cross.
